In partnership with the Santa Clara County Department of Public Health, Union School District has secured enough rapid antigen test kits to send home with each student and staff member in our district prior to Spring Break. Test results are not required to return to school following the break, but we recommend families to utilize the tests as an additional mitigation measure.
Two tests will be distributed to all students and staff members this week to take home ahead of Spring Break.
Testing is optional and the following testing cadence is recommended:
- Use the first test one day prior to returning to school (April 10th)
- Use the second test two days after returning to school (April 12th)
Understanding Your Test Results
If the test is negative:
- If feeling well, and has no COVID-19 symptoms, individual may come to school.
- If not feeling well or has any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and call your school before returning.
If the test is positive:
- Stay home from school and contact your healthcare provider and notify your school site.
