As of May 2, 2025 following the resignation of Board Member Doug Evans, a vacancy will occur on the USD Board of Trustees. At a special meeting on April 19, 2025, the Board determined that the vacancy will be filled by Board appointment as outlined in the approved Resolution #24-25-10 thus adopting procedures for a provisional appointment to fill a board vacancy. The appointment will be for the remainder of Mr. Evans’ original term, from June 2025 to November 2026.
Application Period: Starting May 5, 2025 through June 6, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Interested individuals who would like to be considered for the open position on the Board may submit an application. Applications will be available on the District website, or a packet may be picked up in person at the District Office beginning May 5, 2025. Applications must be submitted before June 6, 2025, at 4:30 PM.
Applications will be reviewed, and any person who is 18 years of age or older, a citizen of California, a resident of Union School District, a registered voter, and who is not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the state from holding a civil office, is eligible to be appointed a member of a governing board of a school district. Eligible candidates will be contacted by June 11th for a scheduled interview to take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. The Board will select and appoint a finalist on June 17, 2025.
