Last week, USD hosted our first annual Lumi Story Showcase to celebrate student stories produced using Lumi Story. This showcase served as a culminating celebration for hundreds of students from Oster, Dartmouth, and Union Middle Schools who shared their perspectives and storytelling through the creation of graphic novels.
Lumi Story is a platform that empowers students to transform their written narratives into visual characters and scene illustrations. During the showcase, CEO and creator of Lumi Story Colin Kaepernick celebrated all the students' creative work.
Several student presenters shared their experience using Lumi Story as well as their trials and tribulations with utilizing an AI platform. Students were also able to share their inspiring messages to fellow students. The showcase concluded with several students receiving awards for their creativity, effort and overall voice.
